Capitol University officially welcomed two exchange students from Universitas Negeri
Jakarta (UNJ), Indonesia, under the SEA Teachers Program, last July 2, 2026. This
initiative was coordinated by the Office for Internationalization and Linkages (OIL), in
partnership with the University Administration, Capitol University
Muslim and Student Affairs (CU-MSA), College of Education, College of Education Student
Body Organization (CESBO) and Capitol University Basic Education Department.

The welcoming program opened with a formal reception at the University Seminar Room,
attended by members of the University Executive Council, administrators, faculty, and student
leaders. Administrators present were Dr. Fe R. Juarez, Dr. Amor Q. de Torres, Atty. Francis
Juarez and Mr. Paul Clarence “Popo” Juarez, Principal of the CU Basic Education
Department, together with Dr. Mercelita Jandayan-Labial, Coordinator of the Office for
Internationalization and Linkages, who warmly welcomed the visiting delegates. The event
featured welcome remarks, introductions, cultural sharing, and presentations highlighting
Capitol University’s strong commitment to internationalization, academic excellence, and
sustainable global partnerships.

The arrival of the UNJ exchange students marks another milestone in Capitol University’s
global engagement efforts. Under the leadership of Dr. Mercelita Labial and the Office for
Internationalization and Linkages, the university continues to strengthen international
collaboration, expand its global network, and provide meaningful cross-cultural learning
experiences for both local and international students. This activity reaffirms Capitol
University’s mission to build bridges across nations and advance its vision for quality
international education.
