About the College of Computer Studies

The College of Computer Studies provides education that is directed to the holistic development of every student to become globally competitive graduates capable of addressing the growing needs of the industry in relation to Information and Communication Technology.

The College of Computer Studies is a Center of Development in IT Education in Region 10. It houses state-of-the-Art facilities with a computer-to-student ratio of 1 to 1. Graduates of the College of Computer Studies are among the top of the skilled and competent IT professionals in the region who have made their way to the different IT Companies and SMEs with in-house IT support. The college has also established strong linkage with the different ICT industries in the region and has academic alliance with the following organizations: CISCO, JEDI, and PhilNITS. It is also an active member of the following professional organizations in the region including the Council of Deans for IT(CODE_IT), Philippine Society of IT Educators (PSITE), and CDO ICT Network. The College of Computer Studies offers courses that are not only limited to developing students as excellent ICT professionals but are also designed to mold graduates to be morally and socially responsible contributors and catalysts in the progress and development of the society and the country in general.

VISION

The College of Computer Studies prepares its graduates to compete in the highly technical, borderless and paperless world through its courses Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT and a two-year program in Associate in Computer Technology (ACT). The college has adapted to this new and rapidly developing discipline by stressing both hardware and software applications.

  • To develop individuals to become excellent ICT professionals who will contribute to the country’s development efforts in Information Technology of today and the next generation.
  • To produce competent graduates with the necessary knowledge, skills and values demanded of the information technology profession, and committed graduates who serve the committee.
  • To produce graduate who are responsible citizens aware of their social relation and who manifest a sense of responsibility and commitment through the exercise of professional competence and dedication in the field of information technology.
  • To train the students to become good persons who value their dignity and who manifest balanced.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) program prepares students to be IT professionals, be well versed on application installation, operation, development, maintenance and administration, and familiar with hardware installation, operation, and maintenance.

Specific professions/careers/occupations or trades that the graduates of these programs may pursue. – After satisfactorily completing all the requirements leading to a BSIT degree, students may qualify for but not limited to the following entry level positions:
