About the college of Health SCIENCES

The Capitol University College of Health Sciences, one of the oldest and established nursing schools in Cagayan de Oro City and Mindanao, has contributed a good number of highly qualified, disciplined and deeply committed registered nurses.

The College of Health Sciences offers two programs: Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Medical Technology. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a four-year program consisting of general education subjects and professional subjects. Professional subjects begin in the first year and threads through the development of competencies up to the fourth year level. It provides an intensive nursing practicum that will refine clinical skills to ensure basic clinical competencies required of a beginning nurse practitioner.

The CU College of Health Sciences sufficiently provides its students with varied learning experiences through efficient classroom instruction by highly qualified and trained faculty and a state-of-the-art Nursing Skills Laboratory to develop competencies in performing nursing procedures. The Capitol University  Medical City (CUMC), a 300-bed ultra-modern and fully equipped tertiary hospital, serves as the base training hospital for the College of Nursing and Midwifery students.
