With the rising cases of COVID-19 in Cagayan de Oro, the National Government and Inter Agency Task Force (IATF) put the city into a Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) starting on June 1, 2021. This alarming situation has prompted the CU Administration, through the Director of the Office of Student Affairs and Services, to issue a memorandum barring all student assistants to report to their respective area assignments from June 1, 2021 until June 15, 2021.
During the MECQ, the PPFMO has intensified its disinfection project around the University. This disinfection project aims to ensure the safety and protection against COVID-19 of all those who report to work inside the school as well as the students, parents, and visitors who have a special purpose in coming to the campus.
The disinfection activities start from the campus main entrances, building hallways, classrooms, and all offices. The process of disinfection includes electronic spraying of surfaces using disinfectant and manually spraying 70% alcohol on office cabinets, tables and other office furniture. The floors are also thoroughly cleaned through mopping using a disinfectant chemical. UV Light is also used on top of the regular disinfection schedule.
